An inspiring journey from scratch by our CIO, Budi “Buset” Setiawan.

Known as a trainer and mental fitness coach, Budi “Buset” Setiawan was once underestimated by one of his employers for his initiative to become a trainer in his workplace at Lodan, Ancol. Buset’s life went through a lot of ups and downs. He used to have a hard life during his middle and high school period, forcing him to sell cassette tapes for extra allowance. Buset also dropped out twice while studying theology.

Now, thanks to his persistence and belief, Buset has succeeded in becoming one of Indonesia’s well-known “entrepreneurs” in the field of team building by carrying the Inspiring KITA flag.

The virtual team building program have successfully saved Inspiring KITA from its near downfall after being hit with the Covid-19 pandemic. Through hard work and persistence to move forward and innovating, eventually Buset succeeded in becoming a Catalyst Global’s partner, which also supports the success of Inspiring KITA. The company continues to climb up the ladder of success in the training business, and culminates in getting the MURI record as “The First Team Building Training Using Virtual Reality” in Indonesia.

The wheel of life has brought Buset to who he is today. Everything that happens in his life cannot be separated from the philosophy he believes in, which is “when we raise our hands before God, God will intervene to help all things in our lives. Just enjoy the journey, no need for us to fight the flow of life. Because what God has given us, that is the best of us!”
